reconnecting through stories
Welcome to the Funnelogy Channel! Our story begins in 2014, with a common desire for adventure. We left Brussels to travel 20,000 km overland to Hong Kong over 306 days. Exploring unknown places, engaging with its people and eating our way across the Eurasian continent taught us new things about the world and ourselves. It showed us that everywhere has a story to tell and those stories became The Funnelogy Channel.
Twelve years on we're setting off once again — this time as a family of four! No expedition is alike, we’ll be exploring another continent, but still travelling slowly, sharing meals, crossing borders by land and meeting people building hopeful futures. It's about discovering, together with our children, what kind of world we want to help create.

What if we could build a different kind of future?
We believe that today's crises are, in many ways, crises of disconnection. Rebuilding our future begins with rebuilding our relationships: with the Earth, ourselves and each other.
Join Max and Mattia as they interview change-makers, ask questions, and remind us to see the world through the eyes of children—the people who will inherit and help create the future.
journey to the west
We’ll be journeying by land through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama - sail to Colombia, and end in Peru!
We are excited to taste new flavours that pop; meet people and learn about cultures that are deeply connected to the Earth, the spiritual world and storytelling traditions. We’ll be putting it all through “the funnel”, while remembering to have fun!
journey to the east
Re-live our journey that started it all - 25 countries, 20,000km, countless moments of human connection.
These stories capture a time when our curiosity led us towards a bigger question: how can travel help us better understand the world and our place within it?
We hope that by sharing stories from the road, it will trigger something in you, to find your own journey, discover your own experiences and build your own memories wherever they may be.
